DELETED

Thank you to all the lovely men who have sent me messages. I'm currently sitting in the foetal position curled up in a ball brought on by confusion. Having had many 'interesting' experiences with less than honest people from here in the past, I'm delighted to know there are actually some 'good blokes' within these Lit walls.

Reading along and then find -

Six foot tall, silver hair and devilishly handsome...

Oh well...

A very well written post! I scanned it first, puzzled as to why it was in this area - reread it and then saw why.

Thanks for the thumbs up for the post. Just decided to put it out there and see what came up so to speak ;)

I knew many people would read it and yawn, and that's ok, as the ones that got to the end were more my sort of person, or perhaps bored or desperate, or even both hehehehe.

Six foot, silver hair and devilishly handsome amuses me. It's just like when someone goes to buy a house, and they want a modern home with no garden, but end up with an older home on a big block. It's about connection isn't it.

Being an - ahem - early riser I decided to read

Bored? Well, okay, was eating breakfast - and Lit does go well with the first cup of coffee. Way too early in the day for desperation.

Hah. See your point. In my case - more like looking for a late model sports car - even better a nice luxury sedan - and instead get a vintage 1990 Yugo...

Nice someone wants to chat............ obviously I didn't bore everyone.

Someone sent me a message saying I was cynical lol. Well it's based on Lit life experience, and I prefer to see it as honest and not misleading.

Now to Mr Nasty, damn my mother should've warned me about you. Maybe she did, and that was the day I wasn't listening.

So my ad was on the breakfast agenda, along with coffee, which means it's far too early to come in and have a bourbon with you, but nice of you to offer. See I've been doing my research.

Might I say there's nothing wrong with a vintage model. I like to think I'm a 1953 model with some miles left on the clock, (yes that is c...lock) but admit I go far better on the flat than the hills these days.

Having gotten older, I've realized there is a damn good reason one tells their kids 'don't do <fill in the blank>'.

It's cause the parent did it. Or is doing it. ;)

Hypocrisy and guilt. The darker tools in a parents kit. Not to be used lightly!

Uh oh. True, bourbon and cornflakes is - an acquired - taste. Perhaps when I retire.

A good cigar tho - that helps on the morning drive. Goes well with that, hmm, by then 3rd- or is it 4th - cup of coffee.

Nicely done! The models of those years did have rounder lines, more sensuous curves that todays. Turn the key and one was treated to a throatier sound, at idle a purring rumble rather than a sewing machine noise.

And when well maintained, not just a treat to the eyes but also the other senses.

We are still talking about cars, right? :D

Well I was talking about cars, but I'm not sure where you drifted off to.

I always listened to my Mum and Dad, I was such a good girl. Damn it, damn it damn it.

Well done Amber on seeing the perfect man on a daily basis. At first I thought it was a man writing and he slept next to a mirror. :)

It's not about finding the perfect man is it, it's about finding the perfect man for yourself. It's about compromise and needs and wants. I've been called cynical lol but I figure cut to the chase about what doesn't work for me, saves time and feelings.

Bellwhlady - I'll happily write an ad for you. :)

Must be a guy thing. Thinking of classic cars of years past - led to memories of auto shows and car mags - leading to memories of pin up art - yeah, it's a guy thing.

And it's always a good thing - to be a good girl. Now what that defines out as, well - thats a different question altogether..

Hello jewdles

Interesting request you have. My dearly departed aunty once spoke with some friends of mine (girls) at a party I was holding one afternoon, we all being in our 30's, she commented to them after listening to talk about men and relationships.....I was waiting for the perfect man.....I did not realise until late that I was not the perfect woman.......

She was a fantastic person....all the women that heard her make that comment still talk about it to this day.

Perhaps you might like to engage in some chat and see if we connect...that might be a start. Ciao D
