So the story was inspired by the Lazy Lemon Sun series (one of my all time favs) and at the end of the story the writer acknowledges that. Just like LLS it was a political drama with a bit darker tone. And unlike LLS only the father of the female protagonist is a politician.
In the first scenes of the story the male protagonist takes the female protagonist as she just fell of a balcony!
