Looking for story

this guy gets blindsided by his wife and lover in her lovers hotel chain. He’s basically strong armed/forced into signing the divorce papers and an NDA. Waitress at the hotel sees, she gets off work and he’s in an alley and she brings him home. They end up falling in love and he starts some type of tech business with 2 autistic teens and becomes filthy rich. I read it recently and can’t remember the name.

The story I’m now reading is eerily similar and I just wanted to see if they were rip offs of each other or not.

The Anchor and The Good Guy are both by the same author (Hotknight). The author responded to the feedback he received about The Good Guy being overly long and detailed by publishing a much shorter story with the same general plotline.

(FWIW, I actually prefer the longer, more detailed story)

Yep I noticed this after I posted this!! I prefer the longer stories as well. I do think the good guy got repetitive with the intimate scenes although it was extremely sad with Ameia. I think that’s why I enjoy the anchor more in this instance so I don’t have to deal with the sadness the good guy had lol.
