A young couple date, then marry. Finances are tight. They are forced to move because of her job or his job. Can't remember which. They start looking for a rental house and find one they love next to or on a beach but it's outside of their price range. They talk it over and husband thinks they can't handle the rent, but wife thinks they can handle it and convinces him and so they move. The landlord lives next door. Months go by and they seem to be getting by financially. Also as they get to know their landlord husband doesn't trust him.
One day husband is thinking about their finances and still can't understand how they are making the rent. Eventually husband somehow discovers that wife is paying part of the rent with sex. He confronts wife, then leaves. They don't divorce (can't remember why) but are apart for several months it seems. In the end husband takes wife back because he loves her.
