Story is about a man who had a crush on a girl until a new boy comes to school and the girl grows up as the new boys girlfriend. He goes off to California, and she returns after he dumps her and is pregnant. The original boy, now a man professes his love to her and offers to marry her, even though they both know she loves the other man.
Now the man is back in town and he is worried that it is just a matter of time before he is divorced by his wife so that she can run off to her first love.
She plays upon the first love, teasing him and leading him on so that she can dump him because she has fallen in love with her husband.
I thought it was Wanderer story, but it isn't.
