Looking for story about a man with a brain tumor

Looking for a story about a man with a brain tumor that is going to die and his wife walks out on him I believe it’s by SADDLETRAMP1956 but I can’t find it in his story index. The man has a couple of kids that are older and out of the house, and he tries to figure out how to leave everything to the kids after he dies instead of the wife if you can find it, I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know the title

At first, after reading the first paragraph, I thought that was the story, but the one that I remember, main character had older kids already moved out of the house and he had a car that he inherited from his father. His father had told him if you take care of the engine it’ll last you for the rest of your life and he thought it was funny because it would last him the rest of his life. Maybe it wasn’t from. Saddletramp1956 Also I remember that Ryan Caldwell was his boss. Maybe he was a policeman or something.

Not the story you're looking for but this is a great one about a guy who finds out his wife is cheating on him the same day he finds out he has terminal cancer. He disappears from her life and spends the rest of his life getting rid of every dollar he owns.
