Hello,

I have recently begun a multi-chapter fantasy piece and would like some feedback. My editor is wonderful, but fantasy is not his cup of tea; so while he can give me good grammatical feedback, he can not offer alot of insight into whether the story is intriguing.

The story is entitled Belar the Mighty: The Lost Sister and I currently have two chapters finished. Each chapter is roughly 3,500 words. The first chapter has been edited, but the second has not yet. Even without editing, you can expect a fairly polished piece of work. I revise my stuff many times before I ask for help.

I have always wanted to write fantasy and this is my longest attempt so far. I would absolutely love to know what you think. PM me if you're interested and thanks for your time.

You would do better if you tried the Editors' Forum. There are some really helpful and clued-up guys there.

We lazy types just come in when you've posted and pick you to pieces. (joke)

I second Elfin's suggestion. You'll get a better response over in the Editor's Forum, although it sounds like you already have an editor. One method for story help is to go look at your favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy writers on this site. Choose one who writes solid stories, has passable grammar skills, and has posted a story recently enough to still be around. Send that author a private comment asking him/her to take a look at your story.

Wasn't really looking for an editor, just feedback. I did get a PM from one person who agreed to look over the story. I will probably just end up posting it to Literotica and seeing how it fares once I hear back from them.

Thanks for the replies though.

Hi YummyTiger

Have sent you a brief PM with some feedback - let me know if you want more, or if you want ideas on my own fantasy writing style.

For anyone else hesitant - it's encouraging stuff - I recommend giving it a blast :)
