I slide my hand around the neck of the bottle of dark red wine. My
fingers press gently but firmly against the smooth texture of the
bottle. My other hand snakes downward, and I guide the corkscrew
closer, and closer, toward the cork. The tip of the corkscrew finds
the edge of the rim and I slide it over, closer to center mass, and
then when it is at the precise spot, I press, firmly downward, driving
the corkscrew into the cork, feeling it give way to the pressure.

With a grin I look up to notice you watching me...

I continue, and begin to slowly twist the corkscrew down into the
soft, moist cork, slowly but with a sense of urgency, I twist, deeper,
and deeper. I sense that both of our breathing has become more
labored as we are not both fully engaged in this effort.

The twisting of the corkscrew has become more and more intense, and
finally I drive it all the way down, feeling the base of the corkscrew
press against the rim of the bottle, sorry only that I cannot drive it
deeper still. Yet excited because I know that the climax is near, I
now slowly, gently, coax the cork out of the bottle, slipping it a
little to the left, then to the right, teasing it, urging it, slowly,
passionately, upward, faster, and faster, as I near the edge, so
close, I can't even control it any more, and finally, it releases,
with a "POP" - and I feel a ripple of ecstasy shiver through both our
bodies. I take a deep breath, and sit back in my chair, the bottle
now opened, and the cork resting on the table. I look up at you and
lock eyes, and we share a knowing smile.
