okay, so after reading a couple of new threads, i have this urge to do some kind of neko thread

i can play either a male neko, or a human pairing off with a female neko (group threads are acceptible as well)

Well, nekos make sense in several roles: The race of nekos could be a fantasy race like elves or werewolves; the race of nekos could be an alien race; or nekos could be created by humans, either by magic or genetic engineering. If there is a whole race of nekos then they could capture or be captured by humans, or for diplomacy to require an arranged marriage between a neko and a human, or you could simply create a setting where the two races coexist and have a more standard fantasy or science fiction adventure plot. If there are only a few nekos you could focus more on creating/breeding them, and they might be more like pets.

Perhaps my fav theme: Neko girls are being sold as slaves or w/e and stuff I don't know, just an idea, oh, and the guys would be humans, the girls are nekos

I think if it's intended as a group roleplay it's important to allow both genders to be both races. Why lose potential players by restricting things unnecessarily? If all slaves were female nekos and all owners were male humans you would lose all the people who wanted to do femdom or gay pairings.

I have a couple ideas to pitch.

-A pulp fiction/1920's setting in which the nekos are a recently discovered humanoid tribe from some obscure jungle region or another. Make for a good action story.
-For a more laidback thread, a tropical island resort staffed entirely by nekos. Imagine for a second a neko tiki party. If that ain't a night of entertainment, you'll have to send me a detailed description of what one is (if you are also female and hot, include a photo and daytime phone number).
-A Gothic setting in which the nekos are the keepers of sorcery and witchcraft. Could go a number of ways, but I think taking a darker, less bubbly approach to nekos could be a fun challenge.

I like the second idea, its good, count me in, like uh...Neko Island or sth where theres some resort or something staffed by neko girls :nana: :nana: :nana:

Bit of an idea for a plot thread I had just now.

Suppose we set it up so that it's a resort island somewhere in the South Pacific. General area of French Polynesia, but nowhere too specific. The weather there is pretty good all things considered, but you got the occasional tropical storm that can be a bit of a bitch.

Anyway, the island is owned by the proprietors of the resort, so technically everything there has been adapted in some way to be friendly to the tourists without disrupting the island itself any more than absolutely necessary. The accommodations are modern and luxurious, but the scenery is idyllic.

This is where the mention of tropical storms comes in. As the thread opens, the resort has just recieved word that a real bastard of a storm is going to be coming through the area, so all transportation on or off the island has been cancelled until the threat has passed. Depending on how much damage the storm causes, it may even take longer until transportation is fully restored.

This leaves some of the guests stranded, while others facing a huge interruption to their vacations. The resort staff is scrambling to bolster security and emergency provisions, while at the same time making sure guests are safe and still providing them with the entertainment that the resort is famous for.

What do you think? A little too dramatic?

I've got the writing bug again and really need some new stuff to do, so if nobody else takes the opportunity in another day or two, I'm just gonna go ahead and start the Neko island resort thread myself.

go ahead and start...i'll more than likely join,. at least, if we get a good supply of girls << you all know how i feel about sausagefests by now
