Hi,

I am stuck in my home for several more weeks, I was in an accident and of course COVID and I used to write and receive the best letters (emails) from an older English Gentlmen. Just to flirt and play and explore. I'd love to wake up to a non-work related email once in awhile. If you think that maybe you, please write me. We can write about all kinds of things.

Thank you from a lonely girl in California.

Good afternoon young lady
I am from England uk and would be happy to write to you
Regards Red

Hi again,

Its been brought to my attention that some found my post offensive. I never meant for the term "English Gentleman" to be offensive. I just wanted to write to any man from the UK for some harmless flirting and fun. I was just looking for a fun, flirty, witty, preferably older (50+) man to write to. Maybe you enjoy art, maybe you enjoy gardening, anything like that. Just not parting, and drinking etc. For some fun flirty talk. I am really sorry that I upset so many, please except my apologies.

Thank you :rose:

To anyone who said that to you, you should tell them to piss off. You don't owe them anything...

I never found anything offensive about your OP, I found it kind of cute actually.

I'm English

Just like the other guys I am English, a gentleman is judged by your discretion, haha. I hope we can chat and if you want to I would like to get to know the lovely lady on the other side of this message.

I can't understand this.... Why would your post upset anyone.
It was honest and sweet.
Then the men on here complain when you don't reply back to them mmmm

Unfortunately we seem to be living in the age of the perpetually offended.
People are even getting offended on behalf of people that they think would be offended, even though they probably wouldn't.
Having read your post 3 times I have yet to find anything remotely offensive.
Unless of course it is in regard to its lack of diversity or inclusivity.
Then I'm afraid that you are guilty as charged.
Saying what mean, or meaning what you say, are now things to be frowned upon it seems.
I'm pretty sure that the majority of people will not be at offended, and those that are need to get a life.
Of course that's just my opinion, as 50+ Englishman😁.(Gentleman would be a step to far, but you can't have it all)

Super post from Banskbrit.

As an English male, I'd be interested to learn exactly what it was -- a document, a phone call, an email? --that gave the OP cause to believe her post had "offended some".

Assuming it to have been a pm, there's no reason not to reproduce its content here, though without divulging the identity of the moron who sent it to her.

I'm offended that a fellow Englishman is offended without reason or regard. The bounder should be chucked out of the club forthwith, egad.

Oh, good gravy! It's YOUR ad, you can word it any way you like. If people have a problem with it, they need to just keep scrolling. :rose:

Yes, yes! Off with his head! ;)

There was nothing wrong with your ad. Quite possibly someone who did not match your criteria was upset to be excluded. Just block and ignore! I believe there are plenty of lovely English Gentlemen on Lit, just as there are many lovely non-English Gentlemen.

My question though is why oh why do we have to be SO careful with our words, even in our own personal ad?!

Why indeed ?
How on earth did we get to the point where such an innocent ad could be deemed to be offensive ?
I find it very disturbing that there are so many people out there that get offended by the slightest thing.
They seem to have very unrealistic and unreasonable expectations of life in my opinion.
I would genuinely like to know what caused the offence, because I just don't understand it.

Yes, yes! Off with his head! ;)

Thanks for reminding me of a little known episode of English history, dating back to 1648 when, during his trial for treason, King Charles I was advised there'd be no more head for him. Ever.

Not one to be easily depressed, Charles replied: "Ah, well, back to handjobs then".

A true English gentleman.

I am a little skeptical of his reply. I do have to admit that I'm curious about it now! ;)

I was wondering if he was used to giving or receiving head, considering he was about to loose his šŸ¤”šŸ˜
