Looking for Magic and harems and Plot

Kind of a weird grouping, but this just sprung to mind after catching up with a story series by IceheartPhoenix called Arwain Chronicles. I remember a while ago reading a story series by someone who's name I can't remember which seemed to follow the same vein of a male coming into some supernatural power(Arwain being a wizard/mix, while the other was.. a necromancer?) and it eventually had a bunch of plot to it aside from a just purely sexual scenes, and I believe both ended with a sort of harem outcome. Though Arwain Chronicles is still ongoing, I was wondering if anyone could point me to maybe something along the same lines?

Male, magic/myth/legend, harem. Can have sexy time but filled with a lot of plot and interesting story.

Edit: Interesting story is subjective. So I'll change it to more of a longer story. Something that I might not finish in one sitting.
