I seem to need a lot of help finding stories lately. Sorry and thanks for your help.
A guy is standing on a bridge on a lonely stretch of highway working up the courage to jump. A female truck driver comes along and convinces him to give it a couple of days and to go with her on her run.
Along the way he tells his story of his wife taking everything including their son, and cutting him out of the picture. She’s also moved in with her boyfriend.
The driver tells him she knows it can get better. She’s been there. They finish her delivery, then she takes him home where he meets her mom and son.
Meanwhile, things are not going so well for his ex. I don’t remember the details, but it involved drugs, prison, and I think even someone dying. Anyway, ex, boyfriend, and even in-laws for some reason are all unfit to take care of his son (I think ex had cheated so he isn’t biological father, but was devastated when she took son because he loved him so much). Now, he’s the only option or the son goes into foster.
It ends with him, son, driver, and her son together as a family.
