The story is about a black woman who becomes a kings concubine to help support her mom. The king is married to a woman I think is named queen Nadia. They have sons together. The king also has kids with most of his harem. Anyway, the black woman quickly becomes the kings favorite and he wants her to have his kids too. She doesn't want to and lies to him about her cycle, there is also and older woman who oversees the harem and quickly catches on to the black womans plan. In the end, she ends up pregnant and tries to abort it with some kind of poison, it doesn't work. The kings wife is jealous of the black woman and tries to get rid of her. In the end, the king accuses his wife of treason and dethrones her and his kids with her, so that the kids he has with the black woman will be the new heirs. I think all of this takes place in some kind of desert city.
