Looking for Gigs!

Since PH hasnt shown his face around here for some time now, him being one of the guys who I know, knows what it feels like to try and land gigs in bars to parties and shit.

We've just started a new band a couple of weeks ago, and is really trying to find places where we can play, other than the ordinary open Mic nights around this area.

Anyone know anyone who we could contact and talk to about a possible gig??

C'mon I know there is a lot of College students out there...Just a little something.

If you play the sort of stuff that people will pay to hear, and if you were in this area, I'd recommend that you sign up with a good agent.
Most of my colleagues who play in semi pro bands get their bookings that way.
If on the other hand you play Hiphop/grindcore/speed metal crossover, you are not going to get a lot of PTA gigs or society weddings anyway, and you need to find where the skater boys hang out.

Rubbles in Mt Pleasant takes bands. Not sure how to get a gig there, but they only do bands, never dj's.

You know I just need names on places, possibly a contact person, in order to be able to set something up, and I know that NS, myself and John would posively LOVE to go out and play our shit.
I just hope we can get some gigs this fall, and winter.

Its all a matter of exposure...and getting out there. you have to play all the small jobs before you get the big ones...its only 1 in million that actually goes from the barscene to the big stage.
