I'd prefer to write purely humor & satire stories and keeping it to a straight out sci-fi series is what this would deserve. Plus it would be great to see what others could do.

I didn't read it yet, but this thread got me excited since this is similar to what I want to do.

The title gives me a clue that my storyline doesn't fit.
Swinging is the norm in this outer space resort, but intercourse has been banned for procreation reasons.

The new intercourse is through a mind merge (usually done between family members for stronger bonding), and the new condom is a chip implant (like a mini laser disk in an earpiece) that filters out the possibility of brain damage.
Because the implant doesn't give you the natural high as without, fake disks were made and distributed on the black market.

This sets up my story, but surrounding planets intertwine mixing with that story, including a not so erotic bigotry piece (over population argument) with a duo gender species that can mate with themselves, an interspecies forbidden romance, and a sexy but dangerous hypno-droids storyline.

Oh, when I say this is what I want to do, I'm in the same boat as you.
I don't know how to start let alone make it good, but it would have more fantasy elements Via Star Trek, Battlestar Gallactica, Stargate Atlantas, etc.

Edit: I just quickly scanned it, and with a few tweeks, maybe my storyline can fit.
