It'd be helpful if you'd tell us the following:
- A brief synopsis of the story, and/or what categories it covers (incest, BDSM, Non-consent, GLBT sex, toys, loving wives, anal, sci-fi, etc.)
- How long is the story?
- How much editing have you done already?
- What kind of editing are you looking for (technical, reader impressions, writing)?
- What's your time line for editing?
Just an FYI: Most of us aren't too eager to help authors who give the impression they don't take the editing process seriously. Failing to give information and abbreviating words like 'please' in a request for editing tend to bolster that notion, which can mean taking them on is a waste of our time.
Therefore, if you are committed to finding a good editor and improving your work, make sure your posts and conversations with potential editors reflect that.
