I don't remember a lot of what happened but a mans ex is trying to buy a house which he actually owns, not that she knew. He was involved with a rich woman who lived close by. I believe the ex traded up, her new man was trying to buy the place for her. Both couples don't end up lasting but the rich woman and man end up as friends. Man tries fixing his house but its slow going do to ex getting most out of their marriage. He befriends an older man who I believe helps/gives him advice.
