I'm a longtime reader looking to submit my first work here. I have a story that will be a multi-chapter romance that I'd love to have edited rather than just throwing a submission up.
I really wasn't planning on submitting anything here but this story keeps bugging me. It's set in what I hope to be a realistic future where because of worldwide economic instability, debt is a free market commodity thereby allowing people to be 'bought' by private citizens. However please note that this is NOT a slavery fetish story. My heroine's debt is purchased by a past lover who has always regretted that he didn't take their relationship more seriously. His personality leaves something to be desired and he struggles with the idea of relationships not being about money or status. Therefore, the characters will not be in a love-at-first-sight scenario and although each has lingering feelings about their past, they have both changed and there is friction that will make for a bumpy (yet entertaining-I hope) ride. Oh and sex, of course.
A bit about me. I am not a writer. I'm a nurse who likes to write. So while I think I have pretty decent command of the English language, writing progress notes in charts is a far cry from fiction which is why I'm asking for your help. This story will literally not leave me alone. I'm just looking for someone who will make it read as good as it does in my head. My PMs are on. If you're interested, drop me a line.
