Looking for an Editor

Hello,

I'm in search of an Editor, of course you knew that from the title of the thread. I have several works on Lit. I have recently included poetry, but I do not wish for those to be edited.

I write various stories. I have written Erotic Couplings, Romance, Group Sex, and Lesbian Sex. I may write a BDSM or a Gay Story for a couple of fans, but right now I have not clearly decided on that yet. The stories I have written in the Lesbian sex catagory are for a fan that emailed me and asked me to tell her fantasy.

I started writing back in May of this year. My earlier works are full of errors, I'm the first to admit it. I improved over time, and then was lucky to find someone willing to edit my work for me. Those edited stories are given credit to him, in the opening of each one. They begin around mid July.

I average 6 stories a month. I will admit, I am impatient, but I understand also that people have lives outside of lit. I am lucky enough that I have alot of time to write, because I am a stay at home mom, and right now the children are in school.

I am in the process of writing a seriel murder, along with writing short erotic stories. My writings are full of detail, some call wordy, however I take alot of pleasure in writing and I feel I have come a long way from my first one. Rarely are my stories one page on lit, but usually 3-4.

Sigh....

Here is my situation. I need an editor. I have two stories that are 90% ready to be sent to a publishing company, and one that is 99.9%. I have the company waiting and I do have my last editor to thank for that.

I average 6 stories for lit a month, however this month the number was only 3 because of the completion of bringing a series to 50,000 words, so my time was put on that.

I am not hard to work with, but I will ask questions, and I will take suggestions and I welcome constructive critisim.

I don't want my poems edited, that isn't necessary.

Please PM me, if you are interested. I will ask you alot of questions, so please answer them honestly. My work is important to me, as I'm sure every editor realizes that an author feels that way.

Please forgive my ignorance but what do you require of an editor? Are we talking a degree here or someone to read over and help when needed? Sorry but I'm new here and thought I would ask.

I need someone to check for sentence structuring to see if something would flow better if changed. I have spell check, so spelling isn't a big problem for me. My biggest problem is puncuation and such.

I don't need someone with a degree, but I want someone that knows the English Grammer rules very well... those are where I have my hang ups. I would write my stories, edit them myself, send them to an editor. They would read over them, and then either make the corrections on the copy, or in another way.. show me the corrections or suggestions and leave them for me to make.

Then I would do these things, proof-read it again, and submit it to lit. With the other stories I'm working on, I would need someone to help me structure the large stories into Chapters, to help me decide where a good break would be, and to suggest, if needed, how to merge chapters together so they flow well between each break.
