If your wife is feeling more adventurous and it’s great, then you should definitely talk to her about your desires. If you’re hoping, despite not saying it outright, to connect with another woman on here and that just happens to turn into something more, be sure you’re ready for the pain and everything associated with getting caught. If you have to hide it, you either shouldn’t be doing it or you’re not in a relationship that’s actually working for you. I am speaking from experience. If I could go back and just leave the relationship before starting to talk to other people, I would. “Just chatting” is the start of an emotional affair at the very least.

Also “getting off” in a chat with someone else is cheating. Your opening post is very contradictory.

A suggestion: Read a selection of Literotica stories together and discuss what you like and don't like about the sex in the story (if there is any). That could help you to talk through the situation.

I think there are lots of threads devoted to this topic and the private chatting is just a dangerous slippery slope.

Like Rory commented above, the “not just a way to get off” is what sounds like that’s on your mind. If it’s really just about learning how to talk to your wife, you’ll need to do that with your wife. Chatting with another woman about intimate things will teach you how to talk to that woman. And, the best measure is to not do anything you need to hide. No judgement here, just speaking from experience as the cheater who didn’t initially set out to become one. Once you start down the slippery slope, it’s hard to stop.
