Looking for advice

Hello all!

I recently finished my first short story. It could actually be Chapter 1 of a longer story if I decide to continue the story. I'm looking for feedback on the story to see if there is interest in it. This will let me know if I should continue writing or not. I have had great reviews from friends that read Erotica. There were about 12 out of the 15 people that read it and gave good to great reviews.

I am not sure where to go next in getting more people outside of my friends to read it. Are there any editors here that will semi professionally edit and or proof read it? Any suggestions would help. Please keep in mind I do not consider myself a writer. This is all new to me Thanks in advance.

Good luck with your story.

You could look for someone from Lit to edit your story, but it wouldn't be semi-pro work, most likely. Just volunteer, unless you happen to find someone who has pro experience editing.

As for continuing your story, I can see where you want to know if there's interest but on the other hand, if you have a story to tell, you should tell it. People will find your story and some will leave feedback. Posting a link here, as noted, will also help get some feedback. People here like to help.

But you will probably not get as much feedback as you like or even hope, so relying on that is not necessarily a good way to gauge interest in your story.

I tried adding the link but it was saying a wrong file format. I wrote it with Open office and it will not upload. I am not sure what else to do.

I'm not sure where you are with this either. You can't give a link until your story has posted to Literotica and you don't have any stories posted to Literotica. And it doesn't matter if you've written it in Open Office if you cut and paste into the submissions box.
