Looking for a story

I am looking for a story where an accountant who works for an accountancy company and has a wife and I think at least one kid may be a few comes home one day and his wife and her lover who is a very wealthy man are there and she tells him that she is leaving him and taking the kids and going to move in and eventually marry her lover who is a wealthy man and I’m not sure if it’s her boss or not, and he should sign over the kids to this man and sign the divorce and if he fights it, they will destroy him and take everything from him so he tries to fight it, but pretty much goes broke doing it. He loses his house. He loses everything that he has he winds up taking a room in a house where a woman lives who raises horses and gives riding lessons. It’s sort of a farm and he starts his own little accounting business from a room that she lets him use eventually something happens between his ex-wife and her lover, and the kids wind up back with the accountant and the ex-wife leaves her lover and trades up to an even richer person. the lover dies of prostate cancer I believe it is but apologizes to the accountant before he does. I don’t know much else about this story. I would like to find it. It was a very good story and I would hope to read it again. Thanks for all your help in advance.
