I am looking for a story written pre Covid, I think and then revised just a couple years ago. It is about a British woman’s footballer who returns to England after a sex scandal in the US and gets picked up by a small football club whee her ex boyfriend is the marketing director. The protagonist goes through a depression and is helped by the ex.
