looking for a story

been looking for a story, read part of it and had a crash and lost the name, guy wins the lottery I believe and buys up a closed down businessmens retreat, ends up with the caretaker (female) and helps her with the convenience store she owns, local deputy is hot for her and does all kinds of illegal stuff including trying to burn em out, if anyone could help me with a name and author I would greatly appreciate it
