I read a story awhile back and I'm pretty positive it was in the nonhuman category. It is about this group of nonhuman (don't quite remember what they were) men that if they ever find their mate they pretty much end up going insane along with the girl and if that happens someone from the group has to kill one or both of them. So of course one of the guys meets his mate and and they start getting closer and apparently as long as they do not complete a "ritual" they both won't go insane. Also I think the main girl in the story has a sister that she is trying to rescue who has a power that is being used for evil?? Not sure if I am confusing it with another story though. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!
