Looking for a story about a nerdy neighbor

Hello. I'm looking for a story I read here long time ago. The premise is about a nerdy guy who moved into a quiet neighborhood. His neighbor, a mom with her daughter, are the main characters of the story. If I remember correctly, the story is told from the mom's PoV. Anyway, as the story progress, the mom fell in love with the nerdy guy, but then she found out he started making inquiries into her daughter's life. Finally one day she found out a huge stash of her daughter's pictures and other info in his house ( I don't remember the exact details) and she called the cops on him. It was later that she found out that he made inquiries because he was the sperm donor from many years ago. He wasn't a creepy guy after all...he just wanted to watch out for his daughter and see her grow up (as a neighbor, no creepy thing). The story ends with the mom finding out the whole story and she got the cops to free him and they lived happily ever after.
