i am looking for a story where its a mother and son living by themselves and she trains him to fight. he then gets ready to go to school and his mother tells him to be careful and to not do anything to draw attention to himself. he promises he wont but while at school a weird phenomenon happens and a red light starts descending towards the school and ash that burns you without actually burning you fall from the sky. half the school then goes threw seizures and only a select few survive.
