Looking for a specific Story

This is my first post to the Forums and I'm not sure if this is in the right spot. I'm trying to find a multi chapter story I read a while back. A short description of the story goes like this: Woman runs away from wealthy, abusive husband, stops in a diner and meets a nice guy who offers her shelter. Later, wealthy, abusive husband kidnaps her, tortures her, nice guy comes to rescue her, wealthy, abusive husband gets what he deserves. I've plugged a bunch of things in to the search engine with no luck. I was hoping someone here might recognize the story and remind me of the title or author while I keep trying to find it with the search engine.
