This story has a great emphasis on plot and characters with at least 5 pages of buildup before anything sexual happens between the two. It begins with a son becoming attracted to his mom and doing things acting out on this attraction that eventually is discovered by his mother. The standout of this story is the realism given to a standard premise, as the mother reacts to this discovery with disgust and shame (mostly for herself in believing that she failed as a mother) and makes him see a therapist to try to fix the problem. The therapist also does not encourage the son in any way but tries to make him move past it. The mother continues to deny him until the end of the story and even then is still filled with guilt for slowly letting him break her down until the very end. What was special was how against it the mother was and the guilt she went through, which made it have a realistic weight to it that set it apart from other stories where the mother sees the son naked and starts fantasizing right away.
I cannot recall what point of view the story is told as I think both their points of view are shown in a non broken up way, so it might’ve been an omniscient type of perspective. If it helps narrow it down, I remember that the father wasn’t stated to be dead but that he was often away on business trips or was not at home very often. At the very least he should have been alive. Also, this was a purely Mother/Son story with neither the son nor mother having sex with anyone else. I recall it was a long story with it being either a 10+ page singular story or a long two parter that maybe split off when the mother discovered his infatuation and picked up with him in therapy. I remember reading the story 5 or so years ago, so nothing from after 2015, and I am not sure if the person who wrote it closed their account. If I’m not mistaken, the author was fairly popular as well but I could be mistaken.
