Hoping this is a little different. I’m early 50’s, married to someone who’s lovely in her own way but not at all interested in sexual exploration or variety. I’m also in a (currently non-physical) relationship with a young woman who is pretty much exactly the opposite. We had one night together, and it was indescribably amazing; she’s since found a relationship with someone much more her age and vibe, but we’ve remained friends, in a pretty odd way (it was always going to be some kind of awkward, I guess). I’ve written for Lit under a couple of author names - one of my most treasured memories is of my friend posting that she’d had a “long and messy night” reading one of my stories for the first time :). What I’d really like is story starters/suggestions from anyone (especially female) who digs the “older man, younger woman” thing, so I can have someone in mind I’m writing for and who might even get off on a story or two. I think I’m an ok writer, and to be honest after getting to know what my friend’s into, nothing is out of bounds... So any suggestions welcome, and if you want to message just for fun, I’d love that too.

Guy here but

I have a young friend who is a source of some fantasies. A knockout blond who did figure skating and tap in high school. She’s just finishing up her freshman year at a small elite North Eastern school. We are dance partners so we get physically close and there is a fair amount of emotional charge when we dance. Over Christmas break we danced for the first time in a while. We were doing a bunch of swing dance moves and with very high energy. There is a dominance vibe to that even though it’s quite cooperative. Let’s say the enthusiasm of our both saying how much we missed dancing with each other spoke volumes. Nothing will actually ever happen as if anything I feel protective of her but were I single it’s harder to say. Particularly with the looks and body that fantasies are made of.

Mermaid (Muse)

In your mind is a reticulum, where I live.
I am the Taboo Child. become Woman
Woman become Mermaid.
You leaned from your boat, held me gently
As you laid me in the sea.
Did you watch me swim away?
Watch me vanish into the deep?
I did not vanish. I disappeared.
What has disappeared may appear again.

I swim in your consciousness.
Now. Near the surface. Then. Diving deep
To hide in mysteries I do not understand.
My gills take in your essence. You hear my song.

You have found me out!
But you do not know it.

What is discovered can not be undiscovered.
Spoken, forgotten. but not unspoken.
You are never lost. Only misplaced.
And I am always with you.
Is this a dream?
Which of us will awaken first?

In your mind is a reticulum, where I live.
I am the Taboo Child. become Woman
Woman become Mermaid
You leaned from your boat. Held me gently
As you laid me in the sea.

And watched me swim away.

Thanks for the replies :). Booboobear, your relationship with your friend sounds special :) Interesting you mention dominance; it's pretty clear who's on top in my relationship with my friend, and it's not me - to the extent that my friends ask, "Why do you let her talk to you like that?" But when a drop-dead gorgeous twenty-something lets you even a little into her life in an intimate way, trust me, she can pretty much do what she damn well likes :)

Littletoo/Jamie, I love the poem. 'Mermaid' is an image I've used with my friend - I'm a clumsy land-dweller, trying to become an amphibian in a world she's totally at home in. I shouldn't be able to breathe underwater, but somehow I can, and the challenge and excitement is to try and keep up when she flicks her tail and looks back at me through a swirl of bubbles, daring me to follow her...

Story Starter

Author's note. Everyone on the planet is someone's child. All the characters in the microstory below are over eighteen, except possibly the spider. I don't know what "over eighteen" is in Spider-years. Why is there never an Arachnologist around when when you need one?

There is no sex in the microstory anyway. The Author is not responsible for whatever rhe reader comes up with on his, her. Its, or their own. It's like the Ink Blot test where your shrink shows you dirty pictures and accuses you of being hypersexualized. I am utterly incapable of writing anything like the sex stories I read on here anyway.

Just look at my posts.

Argus--a microstory

The Taboo Child was at her curds and whey. The Spider watched her. "It's good for you " she answered the Spider's unasked question. Her only garment, a T-shirt, had once been blue. The sleeves were torn out, leaving her slender arms bare. Her long blonde hair, tousled from a night of Not Much Sleep, hung in loose curls short of her naked buttocks. Her cheeks spread slightly on the tuffet.

"I like it when you use literary references," she said over her shoulder to the lump in the bed. "It makes me feel smart, like you, and like you care about me."

The lump didn't answer. The Spider watched her. It reminded her of something she had heard in class.

"I know who you are!" She accused the Spider, "and what you did!"

"What?" The lump in the bed stirred.

"It's Argus!" She complained. "He's WATCHING me!"

"You're not Io," answered the lump. "Come back to bed!"

He was much too old for her. He worried that he'd die, or that she'd grow up.

"I just got up!" She protested.

"Come back to bed," he insisted.

"All right."

Wow - thanks, Jamie, I’ll let the creative faculties ponder over this. It reminds me of one of my favourite sci-fi novels, “A Deepness in the Sky” by Vernor Vinge - some incredibly appealing arachnids (humans come off looking very much the less moral, ethical species). Recommended, anyway.

Watch this space :)
