looking for a mom, son story

i cant really remember much about it except it was a mother and son who wake up in the morning to find the house has been trapped in a snowstorm, the start describes a son waking up and going to the kitchen in his boxers to find his mom cooking breakfast. it was the first story i read on here and would love to read it again.
can anyone help me?
