Looking for a Missing Story

Recognise This Story??

I'm desperarately looking for a story I read some months ago. I've forgotten the author and title (and obviously, forgot to bookmark it! Grr..) But I didn't forget the tale.

It was a tale of warriors, princesses and kingdoms under siege. Two brothers conquer a land. One of them, the king, takes the eldest princess as his mistress, very much against her will, when her father dies. She's a bit of a tomboy, having learned swordplay since she was young. She's very protective of her two younger sisters. The King later takes her back to his kingdom in the North when danger is threatening it, leaving her two sisters behind with his brother, who is falling in love with one of them. Someone there tries to use magic or poison to get rid of the eldest sister, to put her daughter in her place but her plan is foiled. Something happens to one sister, when she's kidnapped and has her hair chopped off. The oldest sister in the meantime, is growing closer to the King, and is falling in love with him. He too. I think he does marry her. There are several battle scenes, escapes.

I stopped reading it before the author finished writing it...and now I can't find it!!!!

Help! I think it runs for at least 8 parts. Does anyone recognise the tale and possible author. I'd really appreciate any clues to finding it again.

It's more helpful if you remember any specific words that might appear in the story, especially names (names of characters or name of the kingdom, for example). It's very difficult searching on generalities.

I've tried it! I'm trying to rack my brains over character names, and places but nothing! I had flown through the first few chapters intending to go back later and re-read but so far nothing.

BTW - it's not like on a different planet. It feels a bit like "A Marq's Woman" but without the planetary travel.

Oh god. I know which one you mean i used to follow it aswell, but i'm cursed with a memory of a gold fish i'm affried and cant remember what the story it self is called at the moment. I check if i might still have it tucked away somewhere but i sort of doubt it survived my computer crash a few months ago.

I have a sneaky feeling the author took it down. I think it was SecretFantasy69's Warrior. But without seeing the story, I can't be sure. And yes, it was by a woman.
