hi guys! i'm not sure if this is the right section to put this, but i was wondering if you guys could help me find a story i really liked several years ago

it was about a guy who found chips or something that were placed into the back of a woman's neck, the chip made her obedient and could also change her physical characteristics. the main guy really liked red heads or something? and then i think after a couple chapters it became a save-the-world kind of thing?
