The wife was having an online affair and was going to hook up with another couple she met online. Hubby caught her and stopped it, even though he was offered to be part of the swap. She gave the him a knockout or ecstasy based cocktail and he wakes up in the hospital, paralyzed and unable to speak. A drug screen is done and it appears to be a suicide attempt and wife doesn't confess. He starts to regain motion in his hand and starts using sign language to communicate to a nurse. The chapter ended and I haven't found it.
Bill and Karyn by Mordbrand is similar, but I'm not certain it's the story. Chapter 2 isn't posted and i remember reading it between 1-2 years ago.
