Actually i don't even know if this story is in the loving wives category. It is about a wife who leaves the husband to live with another man and takes the son with her, later discovers that she is pregnant.
I remember that the guy the wife is living with begins to beat her up and at some point he tries to hurt the son as well but then he (the son) call his father and he goes at the house to help, a lot of things happen and the wife (ex at this point) gives birth to a girl and gives the name of a relative of the ex-husband, i think the name was Allison? i don't know, anyway, she tries to go back to the husband by saying something like "let's try again, for Allison"
