It was a sci fi gay male version of Cinderella. I think one of the characters was named Jem. His father disappeared and a woman and her husband claimed to be his relatives. He had a best friend who was a shape shifter that a reputation as being a slut.
His prince charming was the son of a wealthy business man. Prince Charming has an older personal assistant/bodyguard who ends up falling for Jem’s best friend. Jem’s relatives try to sell jewelery business. Jem’s father turns up and after having pretenders arrested, he sells to Prince Charming’s father. Charming and Jem get married and I think Prince Charming’s father and Jem’s father flirt with each other.
