Hi. Second time writer here. Looking for a more character driven piece this time rather than a bit of a rompfest. Sure there will be sex but I'm looking to have dialogue and character also woven in here. For that not only will I be needing a good and thorough editor but also would love to have that extra pov on the female side of the story. Thanks!

Okay, not a fem. You're missing out IMHO.

What exactly are you asking for here Sebastian? You haven't described which Lit category it will/would fall into. Nor have you given/estimated its size to provide a sense of the level of time committment. With "will be sex" and "looking to have dialogue" it doesn't sound like you've written the story yet.

How is your (preferably female) editor to decide if she wants to help you?*

*I won't get into disputing your need for a female editor because requests identical to yours have touched off stupendous scuffles on the Editors Forum in the past. Mostly I just want to point out that you're kinda running the risk of sounding like someone who's trolling. If you are trolling, here's your heads-up: it is nearly impossible to pick up women by writing smut.

Okay, I realized I might have sounded terribly sexist there (or insanely creepy).

The reason why I want to work with a female editor is:
1) I want to write a believable female character.
2) In my previous story, one of the email critiques that I got was that the female characters were "just there."
3) I've written only 3,000 words or so and I think the story should get capped around 4k or perhaps 5k words. (I'll finish it by tomorow, hopefully)
4) And its just for this one story.

Oh and I'm not questioning the abilities of editors based on their genders. I've worked with two editors here so far and both were absolutely brilliant and timely in their work.

The category would be a erotic coupling. Or, what if Aaron Sorkin wrote an erotic novel. Wait, didn't he already do that?
