Would such an additional forum make this one less of a clusterfuck?

I think so.
 
What would go in a Story Forum and how would it deferentiate from any other forum? (And what makes the Feedback forum a cluster fuck?)

I am surprised the looking for a story threads always come here. I would have thought story discussion would be the correct one.

But I don't think it matters much where they are, I don't see why they bother anyone.

And let's face it, whether people want to admit it or not, when they click on these there is a part of them that wants it to be their story.
 
I don't see that the others are congested. Doesn't matter, though, there's little chance Lit. is adding any forums anytime "soon."

He was asking for a "Looking for a Story" forum - we've had quite a few LFaS posts here lately.

I don't mind them being here but I wish they'd give more informative titles so I can tell whether there's any point in my clicking on the thread.
 
It's a popular request. Having its own forum would help net most of them. Any others outside the net could be easily relocated to it. A few seconds of daily housecleaning and other topics like requests for feedback wouldn't be needlessly bumped down the page.

We don't have this problem in PF&D ..... because no one starts threads looking for Poems. :rolleyes:

I see that. People post those to several different forums. I don't see that they are either congesting any forum or are doing any harm (other than that I personnally think that most of the stories folks are looking for are yucky and sophomoric--but that's no reason why they couldn't want to find them for their own reading pleasure).

The point remains that there's little chance of new forums opening and even less if they are requested in forum posts. And as for daily housekeeping on these forums . . . :D

I don't see where they are a big issue, but wouldn't care if they had their own forum....

But you're not going to get that here.

So...what about a thread? Name a thread "The story finding thread" or "Look here for a story thread" and anytime someone is looking, which is daily, it will get bumped and people will start coming to it, might even get some discussion on the stories and recommendations going....

Maybe we could try it. If it does not work it will just fade out.
 
Posters asking the "looking for" question aren't going to look for a single thread in a single forum to ask the question on. Not that you can't try it, if you wish.

As I recall, there also was a mother and a son and something to do with a gang bang. All very tastefully done, though.

I'd bet most of those GBs and LPs are posters logged in for hours with a page left open on their tablets while they are washing their cats.

2 to 8 people at any given moment X how many given moments a day?

How many more writers would spend more time investing themselves in more topics if these were at the forefront instead of down the page or bumped to the next?

Yet you wallow amongst us. Calling us names, insulting readership and telling everyone you're the only one who knows how to do anything right. But certainly not leading by example because the point here is to get people to read our stories not alienate readership by calling them idiots.

Proves to me and others what we already knew anyway. You have nowhere else to go and nothing else to do so you come here and spew your bitterness

The people whose stories you mock have two things you don't.

1-fun with their stories and fantasies

2-people who read their stories.
