Long waiting time

Dear fellow authors,

My stories have been pending for over a week, so I resubmitted them for publication. Cureently, they remain pending after two more days.

Could you please tell me the current processing time for pending submissions?

Regards,

Yours sincerely, Dracula

It can be anywhere up to two weeks. If you change the story in the meantime, or resubmit it, the waiting starts all over again.

So patience, and good luck!

Something to keep in mind is that new authors' works generally take a bit longer.

Welcome to the world of a Lit author! Waiting is one thing we all learn, but it's worth it. Let us know when it goes up, please.

Thanks for quick response. I will wait.
I think that once they're comfortable with the types of stories you're submitting and depending on the category, they'll more likely skim your story and approve it faster

I've been consistently submitting to Loving Wives for the last three years, and some of mine are approved within 36 hours. But I think the reviewers also recognize that I'll alert them with a "Note to Admin" with anything I believe they might worry about. It saves them time.

After at least three weeks, it wouldn't hurt to drop a private message to Laurel asking if there's some way you can help her get the story approved. It isn't impossible it fell between tables somewhere. You can use the Private Feedback feature or just PM her here.

What is her id?

"Laurel". Her channel icon is what appears to be a patio on a sunny day, shades of gray. Her description is "Kitty mama".

See the earlier replies. A couple of weeks is nothing out of the ordinary, particularly for new writers. And when you resubmitted your stories, they dropped to the back of the queue and the process started all over again.

It can be strange and frustrating, particularly for newcomers who don't know what to expect. But patience is really the only advice we can give.

By all means keep writing in the meantime, though!

I have submitted the first chapters of two different stories to "the erotic dracula," my main account, for publication. Weeks have passed, and they remain in a pending status. I contacted Manu and another moderator, but unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue.

I suspected there might be a problem with my account, so I created a second account and resubmitted the stories, removing them from my original account.

They have been pending review since the 5th. I will patiently await a human review.

However, I am unable to write chapter two until I receive reader feedback.

Thank you for your assistance. I hope someone will review and publish my work.

Sincerely,

Dracula.

One disadvantage of waiting for reader feedback before you write another chapter is readers will move on and not wait to see what happens in the next chapter.
Although opinions certainly are all over the place, I believe most would agree if you are going to submit a story in chapters, then it is best that you have the entire story written and submit the next chapter as soon as the previous one is published.
I recognize this doesn’t help you with your current problem but you may want to consider it as you go forward.

I wouldn't pin my hopes on receiving any kind of meaningful feedback from readers.
There are rare exceptions but most comments are pretty generic.
"Love it"
"This sucks"
Or similar, not anything you can use to improve chapter 2.
And as Trionyx said, the longer you wait between chapters the more readers you lose.

The response thing can be anxiety-inducing. My most recent story took only two days to post. The one before that didn't get posted for two weeks, then I resubmitted it, then it was rejected, then after contacting Laurel I found out the rejection was an error.

So, contact Laurel.

And I definitely second those who say don't wait for reader feedback. You've started your story your way. Continue it your way. It's very unlikely that you will get enough meaningful feedback to guide you on how to write the rest of the story.

Yikes. This probably will make things take even longer. This behavior looks weird and suspicious and might very well make Laurel scratch her head, think "what the fuck's going on here", and do triple due diligence.

What made you suspect there was "a problem" with your original account?

Already sent her 2 messages.
Be patient. New writers get more scrutiny, and clearance of their first story can take up to two weeks. As @Britva415 says, opening a second account has possibly added confusion, because now the same content is in the queue twice.

Also, don't expect much feedback, certainly not of the type that will guide your story. I've been here a decade: my metric is fairly constant - one Vote per hundred Views, one Comment per thousand.

Those comments are on the chapter or story itself, not the next one. Literotica is feedback-lite story zone. You might get, "Yay, great story, please continue," but that's going to be about it.
