Hey I'm Rich and I have been into this site for a tick but never really jumped into the rp sector. Anyone have any tips on how to get started without seeming like a noob tool?

At the top of the SRP section there is an "existing thread" and a "seeking RPers" thread. Look through those for something you like or post there yourself.
There's also a "writers profile" thread and an "introduce yourself" thread at the top of the lounge. Those might be places to start too.
Just be clear about what you're interested in when you post looking to start a thread. And when you PM someone about a thread they want to do, give them more than a line. If they don't know you and can't go back and read what you've already written, they'll need a reason to start a thread with you.
