have been thinking a while now, of a really slow burn story about a woman who loves her husband, is satisfied with him in bed, etc, but slowly gets her eyes opened to the possibilities out there.

She might become a slut, eventually, after a long process, but i envision her starting really slowly, becoming more comfortable in her own skin, not hiding her body (which is slim and realistic, not some 40ddd type), but not dressing sluttily, gaining confidence and realising men do find her attractive.

might even have an older or more experienced man or woman guide her through this process - they don't need to have a sexual relationship, just a mentor who shows her her potential. this could involve "tutorials" of a sort about oral sex, sex, watching or learning from others, being guided through light flirting to more serious stuff.

that first moment when she finally cheats in a sexual sense (ie not just kissing or dancing, being felt up etc) has to be a big deal - butterflies in stomach, guilt, exhilaration, liberation.

It's basically both. Up to a point it is just exciting and inciting, then jealousness kicks in and he becomes real competitive. After that, well, that's a different story ark, what happens in their relationship after the sharing point, depends a lot on his confidence with himself and how it is sold internally.

I agree also depends if he is present when the transgretion happens. Personally I do not enjoy it when it turns to cuck humiliation as I find whimpy behaviour in men a turn off. But lots of ways to go about it

That's crucial. What's the trigger? What drives her? The environmental stuff I mentioned is the ocean she swims in, probably not the direct cause of her straying. Why why why? I don't think "she just went sluttish" works.

I agree, I wouldn't want the husband to be emasculated in the process, necessarily. A lot of this is based on a friend i know (i know, hahaha), who's happily married, without any kids, but has had very little sexual experience; basically, the only man she's been with, is her husband, whom she loves dearly. By all accounts she has a healthy sex life, although i know her husband pretty well, and he's not exactly experienced in that area too, so there's a sense that although she is happy with what she has now, there's a lot more to sex than she knows about.

I think she's really attractive, but she's the sort of woman who's clueless when a guy is hitting on her, and has little sense of just how physically appealing she is. So i really do see her as someone who has lots of potential to come into her own, gain more (sexual) confidence, explore her boundaries. i don't think people have to be unhappy etc, in order to stray or explore - i have a number of friends in happy non-open marriages, where they have kids, are fulfilled, but either the husband or wife cheats.

i think it's the most interesting to see it from the pov of the wife - internal struggles and all.

She could be from a small conservative town and whisked away by this man. He is conservative too, maybe older, but she is now in a different place, not necessarily a big city but maybe. She tastes, sees and smells things she had never experienced and meets people she never imagined outside the books she read as a kid, back home.
I would hesitate to bring in too much religion unless that is hot for you. It is the story of every woman, just a matter of how fast/if ever they wake up to the possibilities of life.

good points...back stories are helpful, even if they are NOT described..you, as the author, needs to know it.

One of the ways to make it work is the 'flashback. (or maybe in this story the flash forward?)

I like her growing awareness but.....to be honest.......remember a good story has some real tension in it. For example, instead of it all being rosy to her hubby, maybe he starts positive and then gets a little worried and maybe even tries to stop her? Think about that as she 'takes control' of her own sexual life..... I think it gives her more 'control'?

The husband fantasy is rather lame and she take it on her own to push the envelope each time they have the fantasy friday or similar? She goes from the shy wife to a woman that takes the lead in their games?

Another possible "launch" set-up could come from the husband. He adores his wife, but her lack of awareness about her sexual appeal transfers over to their sex life. She just doesn't know much about sex since she was raised so prime and proper. He just wishes she had a little more fire in the boiler, etc.

He and his "male friend Bud" end up discussing this at some point when they are out being bud's. At the end of it, they contrive a plan where "Bud" (and his wife) will begin to encourage 'Wife' on being more aware of her sexual appeal for her 'husband' who loves her and in their opinion would love to see her blossom to her full potential. The 'other wife' broaches the subject, gently confiding that her husband mentioned some things to 'Bud'—then offering to help her in the 'make-over'. (a nice section of girl-talk here about the sexy stuff Wife was never exposed to.) Soon enough, 'Bud' is called into the project for dance lessons, and such...but soon things start getting dicier. (since wife had never given a blow-job, Bud and his wife give her a demonstration...those lessons could grow to include Wife )

Now there's some tension building between 'Bud' and 'Hubby'. It's gone a little farther than just some help with clothes and confidence and dancing lessons, 'Wife' has definitely become more sexually aware (hint, hint).

Next it becomes a conspiracy between 'Bud + his wife' and 'Wife' on how to bring 'Hubby' into the fold. It's given to 'Bud' to soften 'Hubby' up to new possibilities...then it's handed off to the 'Wife' to encourage her 'Hubby' to also explore his own sexual revitalization (which of course 'Bud' and his own 'wife' are more than happy to help with (what with them being older and wiser and more worldly and sophisticated, etc).

Of course, 'Hubby' will have his own bag of emotional hang-ups and fears, but they are soon vanquished by his good friends and his own dear wife. In the end, there's new fun and intimacy for all.

In both, the male central character finds his life sliding out of control in a way that is first kind of cute, but ends up terrifying. One decision after another turns out to have been the wrong decision; it becomes clearer that he might never get his normal life back.

This central theme is so resonant with me that it has sometimes invaded my dreams: I make one wrong move after another and a small dilemma becomes a major hurdle.

Lust could easily be the slippery slope on which a person loses control. One of my very favorite stories involves a wife and mother whose tiny drug craving (mother's little helper) leads her into one situation after another in which she becomes disconnected from her real life. In the end she has pretty much ceased to exist. Powerful stuff.

My suspension of disbelief falters here. Un-isolated human females beyond puberty usually notice when someone acts attracted (puts a move on). Her reaction depends on her past and present life, her body chemistry (horniness), any drinks and/or drugs, and her expectations.

How does a naive, faithful wife slowly descend into sluttery? A long story if dramatic. For a short stroker, speed things up; it just happens, step by quick step; over a period of time, sure. Or stretch it to a ten-part series, with total sexual-moral overload at the end. Is that a happy ending or a cliffhanger?

If it were my story, I think I would do it from the point-of-view of the husband because it's his questions to her that interest me - his slow realization that she is cheating and her descriptions to him at each stage of her sexual awakening. Likely that comes from being a girl. I am a very intense older girl who loves more than anything enjoying two penises simultaneously. Not any two penises, The two penises that belong to two specific boys that I have known and loved for almost as long as I have been alive and aware.

JMO Girls are programmed to want the same boy 30k times. Boys are programmed to want 10k girls 3x each. IRL my lovers and I, we found an elegant work-around for that.

Back to Connie and Miguel, they love, or at least loved each other dearly. She isn't stupid, she knows 'why' she is popular, and it aint just the guitar. She is aware that she didn't make her academic 'bones' as fast as he did. Of course she might have, and she thinks she would have, if she devoted the time she spent on music on science instead.

But she did what she did (musically) at least in part for them, together they enjoyed the fruits of what she earned. They together, could enjoy the knowledge she gains as well, or is that a justification or a rationalization.

If she cheated, and she hasn't crossed that line in my 746 words, it was for 'educational' purposes, or at least that is what she tells herself. She wants Miguel to rock her world, but he doesn't know what she needs. She doesn't know what she needs, she is trying to figure it out.

IRL most guys don't deal well with this kind of a situation. Miguel's ethinc background puts a sharper point on that. Have-nots the world over see the Haves come and take from them.

Is it cheating? IMHO that depends on the individual deal struck, but its not much of a story if they didn't consider themselves to be exclusive to one another.

This is what I am thinking, what I have sort of sketched out. You tell me what you like and what you don't like... I'll work up more of a draft. How closely do you want this to be like your friend?

I'm working with the name Natalie. You tell me if that works for you. She gets pregnant in her first year of college, her first real boyfriend.
