Hi! I'm Reverend James. I've been on the Lit boards in the past under other screen names, but I always disappeared because I wasn't sure what I was looking for and got myself in too deep.

This time I've decided to start slower. I'm looking for friends (preferably female) simply to chat with and see where it leads.

As a religious person, I enjoy talking about God and how God views sex. I think I have a pretty unusual view in that regard. Please PM me if you are interested in getting to know me. In case you care, I'm almost 40, 6' tall, brown hair. Ask if you want to know more.

Hello Mister Reverend (How does one adress a priest?!)

I don't mean to be a brat, but doesn't that break the celibate?
Or is chatting okay?

Just curious :)

Priest?

He said he was a reverend, he did not say he was a priest. There is a big difference. My guess is he's not a Catholic priest or he'd be breaking a couple of their rules already.

I would think that just being here would be breaking a shit load of rules or commandments or whatever they are for your particular religion.....But then I haven't bothered with religion since I was a kid.

I'm Lutheran, so there is no vow of celibacy. It would, however, be frowned upon by my congregation and bishop if they were to discover my presence here. For that reason, I am using a pseudonym and giving limited details on the public forums.

Many believe sex and religion to be at conflict with each other. I feel quite differently and believe that God actually wants for us to enjoy our sexuality.

We dropped out of the Methodist church long ago when it became a business and they sent us payment books.
We are not religous in the normal sense. However my wife has been given her last rites 3- maybe 4 times and she is still alive and more active sexually than ever.

I died in ICU and felt a presence, warmth, silence, and saw some sort of light. The doctors told me all of the lights and buzzers stopped. Doc told me I'd left awhile.
I was told I'd need a pacemaker. Later i was told I have a normal heart.
I am very much alive yet I admit I look and feel old. This happened over seven years ago.
The point is if there is a God he knows what we do and he let us live.
If there is no God we are alive and just as ornry as ever anyway.

I feel religeon and church are only a money making gimmic created by mortal man. Even the great books were written by men who never actually experienced sex or life.

Some will laugh at what I wrote. I don't usually write this way.
I've read very early books warning about the Catholic religeon and saw much has become true. Religeon and the banks control the world.

Thanks for your thoughts! Religion has often been corrupted by money and selfishness. But I believe the true worship of God is far more pure and wholistic than that. And God made sex, so sex is good!

That snake was really a lizzard. Adam meant man and Eve meant woman. When Eve bent over to pick up the apple humans were created.
And we almost lived happily ever after.

And we went to the Garden of Eden to join in the fun.
