Lonely recently divorced 33/m - looking for a friend

Hi everyone -

This probably isn't the place to post this, but the Lit community has always seemed like a supportive bunch. I'm a recently divorced 33/m and living on my own for the first time. I lived with my ex-wife for 10 years and would have been married for 7 in a few years. I've been incredibly lonely and having a hard time dealing. Are there any people out there in a similar situation as me who can offer advice...a friendly chat...some cheering up?

If it matters, I am well-educated (have a PhD), fir and attractive, enjoy sports and music, have a good sense of humor, and think I'm witty.

I suppose 10 years or 10 days may not feel much different if the person you've lost was important. There's probably some advice on the howto thread, as I think it's a question that's been asked.

I'd suggest you go out and get into some hobbies...something that takes you outside and hopefully around other people. You might meet someone that becomes special, or just make some friends. In either case, you can feel like you're in control of life again, rather than it just being in control of you.
