LOL, the ultimate NewSpeak

Not going to happen. They've already been told that the costs of the riots is on their own dime.

Listen to what the spokeswoman is saying. LA doesn't want money to "rebuild". We doesn't need to rebuild.

LA wants the Trump administration to pay for the police overtime, and to repair the damage caused by the riots ICE started.

ICE didn't start the riots, dumbfucks who believe in the lies they're told did.

For example; normally the NG can parade down Temple in DTLA and no one will give a dam. BUT, tell the dipshits like you that they're going to help ICE enforce the law, and you all go further into nutzville than you already are.

Fuck girl, Pendelton sends military convoys up and down the 101 on a regular basis and no one gives a shit because you stupid fucks haven't been told they're "terrorists" under the control of "the great Orange Satan."

I'm seriously wondering how you can be so anti-Iran, with their propaganda talk about Israel which MIRRORS what you're being told about Trump, and be so gullible about local events at the same time. It's like you WANT to be stupid.

The National Guard formed a cordon around the federal building on Wilshire. There were no protests there before or after the guard arrived. Everyone in West LA knows that the corner of Wilshire and Veteran is used for peaceful protests all the time. I've seen dozens of protests there over the years I've lived here including BLM, with never any need for police, let alone soldiers. The presence of armed National Guard on peaceful streets was creepy and scary. Trump exceeded his authority and I'm glad Governor Newsom stepped in and relieved him of his command.

Poor 86Tintax2024 doesn’t understand the meaning of “newspeak” (or “doublespeak”).

Its use of Xitter to supply its thoughts is failing it. 😆

This isn't true. Rioters attempted to break into the building the night before. There's even video of one guy smashing windows with a skateboard. It's why the NG was mobilized to protect Federal property.

The NG wasn't ON the street.

Further, The SCOTUS has already determined back around 1800 that the courts CANNOT tell the president how/when/where to deploy the military OR SUBSTITUTE THEIR OWN OPINIONS on whether there's an emergency or not requiring mobilization of the military. (Or the NG in this case.)

So your "exceeded his authority" mantra is false and is nothing more than Democrat propaganda.

You're thinking of the federal building downtown, not the one in West L.A. I saw the National Guard cordon around the building on Wilshire with my own eyes. There wasn't a protester in sight, just a bunch of bored-looking soldiers with rifles.

But the president does not have the authority to federalize the NG without first consulting the state's governor.

Wrong. Damn, for an attorney you don't seem to know the law very well.

He's all about socialism first, himself second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth, and fuck anything/everything you want after that.

There were no burning cars before the NG showed up.

Exactly and overstepping the governor who is a better human being than he is. Funny how all the other protests around the country had no issues.

it is quite interesting how he hadn't ordered up the NG when his lice-infested fecal smearing neanderthals stormed the Capitol. Furthermore, he pardoned all of them! Not one of his bootlickers in here can answer for that. Hey, hypocrisy is a MAGAt thing!

The ultimate "newspeak" was actually last week when Senator Joanie Ernst gathered up the courage to have an actual town hall meeting in one of the reddest counties in Iowa.

She was breathlessly telling the skeptical crowd about Trump's gutting of Medicaid as a "good thing" when a woman stood up and yelled "People are going to DIE!"

Ernst merely shrugged and said "well, we all die sometime".

This absolutely tone-deaf comment did not sit well with farm folks in Iowa. Her staffers wasted no time telling her they needed to do serious damage control IMMEDIATELY.

The next day there was a video released of Ernst looking Ernstly at a camera (see what I did there? Huh? Huh?) and in her very sad church voice said "oh my remarks were taken out of context. I was referring to the love of Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross for our sins, who gave us all eternal life in the hereafter after we die, yadda yadda yadda"

Nobody was really listening to her Christian focus-group tested rote "apology to those I offended with my Christian testimony".....they were too busy looking at the background.

Ernst chose to film this faux apology video in a public graveyard.

"Pivot your poor choice of words to Jesus".
