I believe you, I think there is an unfortunate stigma attached to mental illness because most people don't understand it. When I took Psych in college many illnesses were theoretically linked to chemical and hormonal imbalances and I believe some people are truly evil and sociopathic. Just my humble opinion.

It maybe more than chemical imbalances, there are also immune systems reactions that can cause swelling in the brain resulting in psychiatric symptoms:

Ha! I've got friends like that and visiting their house is a bit of a theme park. I can see it would be irritating, but I think my friends do it as a way of distracting themselves from the reality of the world outside their house. With them I think it's quite sweet but I wish they'd vacuum the house more often :-\
