Login behavior is certainly a bit flakey.
It seems that if I go straight to "Bulletin Board" (aka forums) from the primary login page, and log in there, the login does not "take".
But if I then go to the dashboard and to my "Works" page, I am signed in.
And if I then return to a forum sub-page, I become signed in.
So I think there is some lack of connectivity between logins made in different places on the site.
I guess the stories and the forum have separate origins and this is somehow the source of the problem - that the logins are not fully unified.
