Login erases comment in progress

I was not logged in and started writing a comment on a story. But I didn't want to post it anonymously, so I logged in from the Comments section. This took me to the login screen and then back to the first page of the story, but when I went to the last page, where the comments section is, the text I had entered wasn't there. I was able to retrieve it by using the back arrow on my browser (Safari) and copying it to the clipboard. Then I had to log in all over again and use Search Page to find the story all over again in order to paste and post the comment. In the old version, it was possible to log in in the middle of writing a comment without losing what you had already entered.
