I've just tried to post a comment to a story I commented on yesterday. Even though I was already logged in, I was asked to provide the username and password (plus a security code) again. Fair enough, but then I couldn't preview the comment. The submission box came up again and it was empty. Tried it again, and the same result. Anybody know what that is all about?

The Comments Preview doesn't work like it used to - there is no preview. It's straight to submit, now.

I've not had to do a separate log in, though.

If you've only been coming to the forum and rarely visiting the story side in recent times, your login may expire over there. Once you've logged them both in, they seem to stick around for a significant amount of time, but neglecting either one for long enough can cause the login to expire, and you might not notice it on the story side as quickly as you do here.

That's news to me, but I think I commented without any problems about two days ago. And there was a "comment awaiting approval" message, which usually takes about twelve hours (a wild guess) to get past.

Sounds plausible, but I've never seen it before. Depending on what is going on, I may spend more time on either the stories or the forum.
