This is an idea for a story I'm just starting to write, and wanted to know what people thought of the idea, and if there is some suggestions to flush it out a bit.
The story is that a young couple just moved into their brand new house in a brand new little community. It is the day before christmas eve and their neighbors are either gone for Christmas or haven't moved in yet.
So they decide to try out their brand new outdoor hottub. Since they are a young couple in love, one things leads to another and they end up having sex in the hot tub. The problem starts that it their enthusiasm, they threw their suits out onto the deck. While they are having sex, the predicted storm hits, the temperature drops and it starts snowing. They think nothing of this since it isn't that far to get into their nice warm house.
The finally get out and realize that their suits are frozen quite solidly to the deck. No big deal. It is private enough they can walk back into the house naked (except for sandles to make it extra funny). Oops, they forgot to leave the back door unlocked. Man bravely runs around to check the front door, but it's locked too. Hadn't been there long enough to have a hidey key (or maybe it is one of those stone things that is now hidden by the snow, so they are locked outside, buck naked.
Man sees one other house has lights on afterall, but it is the mysterious lady they haven't met yet. So they end up having to run over naked to the strange neighbor and beg to use the phone to call a locksmith.
Maybe the storm is so bad the locksmith can't come out until the next day at the earliest (or she hasn't had her phone hooked up yet). Maybe the storm knocks out power to the mystery lady's house, and they have to run back to the hot tub to try to stay warm through the night.
