Watching the news I just had to shake my head.

The first story was about how there are people here in West Palm Beach who are suffering because of the boil water order in effect for the past week. They showed a housing development where the people clained they couldn't afford to buy bottled water. The County was trucking in premium bottled water for them.

In the background of the shot was a local grocery store. Now I know that store, it has a water filtering machine in place. The water from these machines is safe. It costs all of $.25 a gallon unlike the bottled water they want. ($1.25 a pint.)

Hello?

The second story was about a 14 year old girl who was arrested for violating curfew in a downtown area. Her friends and family are all upset because the officer who arrested her hit her once in the face and Pepper Gassed her. She is only 14 after all. Too bad the dash cam video showed this young lady, who stands almost six feet and weighs more than I do fighting the officer tooth and nail, biting him, and threatening to have her friends shoot him.

Hello?

Any comments?

Sheesh! There's nothing wrong with that water. I used to buy drinking water like that myself, before I got my water system.

I heard about this incident via a local radio talk show host, who predicted that this even would be blown out of proportion. From what he said of the story, the officer was asking the girl to put her hands behind her back so he could hand cuff her. Some might think that a bit much, but a big girl, as animated and angry as she was, could have been a threat.

So he peppered her and got the cuffs on. How much you want to bet he gets desk duty for a week and someone with the last name of Sharpton comes to the girl's rescue?

Get the biggest water containing vessel you can find, boil the girl in it, then give the water to the people who can't afford bottled water (take the girl out first, though. They might get upset about that.) All problems solved.
